Filter performance active protection against particles, bacteria, viruses
The Mouth and Nose Protection is subject to clear legal provisions of the Medical Products Act and may under no circumstances be offered as a community mask. There is a danger of confusion between surgical masks and masks for use in the medical field. All masks offered at #besafe95 comply with the current legal situation.
Particle filtering half-masks as pandemic protection must either meet the criteria of an international standard such as NIOSH (FDA approval) or have passed a quick test e.g. by DEKRA or TÜV. Precise laws in the USA, Canada and Great Britain must be considered.
All FFP3 masks have CE certificates valid in Eurppa.
Antiviral and antibacterial mask made of fabric additionally filters 99% of all particles, which corresponds to the filtering effect of an FFP3 mask. This mask can be cleaned up to 20 times and maintains its properties. All bacteria and viruses on the fabric are killed.
Comparison of the different masks
Different masks also offer different protection. But which mask protects me and which mask protects the others? Do some masks even have protection?
These are questions that we are asked very often. We would like to take up the questions and the uncertainty of the users and answer these questions from the point of view of an air purifier specialist and filter specialist.
What is a mask and what is its purpose?
A respirator mask, mouth-nose mask or community mask is nothing more than a filter that is placed in front of the mouth and nose. This filter should filter the air that we inhale and exhale, best of all viruses (such as the COVID-19 pathogen), bacteria, fine dust.
The best way to filter is of course if the filter fits tightly, so nothing can get past it and it is of high quality. But how can I tell if this filter is of high quality and which particles does it filter?
Quality that is excellent
Respiratory protection masks and medical mouth-nose protection are subject to both European standards for occupational safety and medical devices and international standards of the USA, China and other countries (read more here). These standards are very similar and form an international standard that is easily testable and documented. Nevertheless, there are different qualities of protective equipment, which we test in our company and only then release for sale.
